Oct 22nd 2002 Mr. Paul Stewart Fantastic Flea Market Ltd 2375 Steeles Ave. West North York, Ont. M3j 3a8 Dear Mr. Stewart, On behalf of the women and children at the North York Women's Shelter, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and graditude for your genereous gift. Through the eyes of the women and children who have been living through an abusive relationship and unpredictable future, the North York Women's Shelder is seen as a place of hope and a move towards a safe and secure future. Most families stay at our shelter for a period of three to six months, untill they are able to secure a safe, affordable housing. During this time, the women and children receive the counselling and support they need to realize the strengths they have in moving forward with their new lives. The North York Women's Shelter will continue to grow through the generous contribution you have provided. Your support assists us in continuing to provide a service, which recognizes the needs and personal worth of each individual seeking refuge at the shelter. We could also like to thank you for your contribution to our work by updating you from time to time on the progress of our organization. Our wish is to continue to share with you the tangible benefits you have helped us to deliver to those who need them most. You have made a difference in someone's life. A Sincere Thank You Aruna Papp, Agency Director

November 10 - 11, 2001 - Roadie and I did our part in the Paul Stewart International Buskers Challenge at the Steeles West Market (375 Steeles Ave West Toronto) where we dedicated my busking to the people of Manhatten and Washington through the New York Fund of the Canadian Red Cross.
You're called a 'busker', from the Spanish or Mexican word, 'buscar' which means 'search'. The musicians play a few hours in one saloon and then say, "Well, it's getting a little bit dead around here, let's go busking. Find a livelier joint" (Woody Guthrie, American Folksong, 1961)
